What are you doing? Why are you doing that? Are you like a model or something? Are a few of the many questions I have got about my posts on social media. I will admit I went from 0 to 100 real quick. Those pictures allow me to express myself in a way I am passionate about. I was always self-conscious about my style and what I wanted to wear. So for the longest time I tried to wear what was popular or “in style”. You could say awkward was an understatement. The clothes I was trying to wear wasn’t my style and I didn’t feel like me. I felt like I didn’t know how to dress myself. One day I was looking through some of my favorite western fashion influencers on social media. It always blew me away with how confident they were in themselves and how thrilled they were wearing whatever they wanted, even though it wasn’t exactly the latest fashion trends. They wore what made themselves feel good. Soon enough they were the ones starting the trends. As I sat and pondered on the subject, I asked myself why I couldn’t do the same. Why couldn't I just be comfortable with myself and wear what made me happy? It is as easy as that. So after a long interrogation of myself and my soul, I decided not to worry about what others might think. Mind blowing concept right? I quit searching for the clothes everyone else was wearing and just looked for what made me smile.
So I post these pictures in hopes that I can inspire others to be their true self without worrying about the backlash from others. After all, if we are being honest, there will always be that one person that doesn’t like what you do. So you might as well enjoy what your doing! You can’t make all the trolls happy!
If I am able to make at least one person smile or laugh with one of my cheesy captions, then I consider it a win in my book. I created this website to allow others, who have a similar taste in the "Old West Ways", to be able to find and easily purchase unique vintage pieces that I have personally found. I hope to inspire others to truly be their unique selves.
